| Clean
Communities Day |
 |
| Saturday, October 2 |
 |
Clean Communities day will be held for
Girl Scouts. You will be given an area to clean up with your troop.
It usually takes and hour or so. It is a service to the community
and a great activity for the girls. The girls have been given the
following areas to clean:-Borough Hall (which includes the soccer
field, the fitness trail, the pool area, and the DPW dumpster area)-Beechwood
-Deerfield
If you want to participate, but cannot arrange to do it on Oct 2nd,
you may do it with your troop sometime before Oct 31.
The town has scheduled a pizza party in the Deerfield Cafeteria for
the girls that participate. Come anytime between 11:30 to 1:30 on
Oct 2nd. The party is for all who participate, whether on that day,
or before or after that day.
Mary Sartorio has all the supplies needed for each troop, along with
a thank you gift for each girl from the town. Whether you are going
to clean on the actual day or on another day, please rsvp to her so
that she can assign you an area and arrange for you to pick up your
supplies at her house. When you rsvp, please tell me your troop #,
the number of girls in your troop, what day you plan to participate,
and the best way for her to get back to you.

| Nut
Sale |
 |
| September 20 - October 15 |
 |
Nut Sales packets for any troop interested
in selling nuts are available from Jennifer Doll. This year each troop
can earn $1 per nut & candy item sold. You do *not* have to order
by the case. All girl orders are entered online by the troop's nut manager,
the only "paper work" involved is permission slips and the
check!
New this year: DAISY troops CAN sell nuts (cookies too!).
All orders AND money is due to Jenn on October 17th. Nuts &
candy will be delivered between November 19th and November 22nd. If
your troop *is* interested in selling nuts and candy please email her
your troop #, the number of girls in your troop and a contact person
in charge of nuts. Katleen will put together the sales packet and leave
them in a bin on her front stoop and set your nut manager up with a
password for the ashdon farms website. It's fairly self-explanatory.
If your troop is *NOT* interested please email Jenn your troop number
so she can cross it off the list! Thanks!
Happy Selling! |
